Not everyone is human. Let's learn about other kinds of people that live in Lumina City!
On Imprinting
...sure, like from "Twilight"
An imprint is the equivalent of a soulmate or other half. When a creature meets their imprint, that person becomes their everything. If the creature is dating someone when they meet their imprint, they will suddenly become repulsed by the partner and leave them, often in a cruel or heartless manner. The creature will want to know everything about their imprint, from their likes to their dislikes to their preferences. The imprinters will live to please their imprint, always wanting to see them happy and hoping to claim them as their mate. When a creature sees their imprint upset, they will try to make their imprint happy or they will confront the reason why their imprint is upset if the reason is a person. Most imprinters will not hesitate to kill or incapacitate someone that is threatening their imprint. Most imprinters will not hesitate to incapacitate someone that is flirting with their imprint. Imprinters are highly territorial over their imprints and often have bouts of separation anxiety when they have to be away from them for an extended period of time. They will choose to be beside their imprint as often as possible, regardless of what the imprint is doing and whether it is private or personal. If the imprint is human, most creatures will wish to change the human to match their species if possible so they can be together forever, but will never do so without their imprint's express consent. Imprinters are in-tuned to their human imprint's needs and wants, often able to know what the human wants or needs before the human ever speaks about it. Imprinters can feel their mates feelings, pain or needs in their own bodies, though lighter or fainter than their own feelings or pain. When an imprinter bites their imprint to mark and claim them, they enter a state of euphoria that is sexually gratifying. If an imprinter's mate dies, the imprinter goes into a frenzy until they are incapacitated or killed.
In rare cases...
...an imprint may belong to two or more creatures. This is a very rare occurrence, as imprints are seen as being the soulmate, AKA "the other half" of someone. When a person is imprinted on by two or more people, it means that imprint completes more than one person. Data on this topic is limited, but in all known cases, the imprinters usually agree to share the imprint to give the imprint maximum happiness.
Demihumans (Demis)
Demis are human-like creatures that are half-human, half-animal. A Demi can be mixed with any type of animal, and may appear with ears, tails, wings, fangs, claws, etc, that match its animal counterpart, depending on what animal it is mixed with.Feline Demis will usually have tails, claws, fangs, and feline ears on their heads that match their feline counterpart. Canine Demis will usually have tails, claws, fangs, and canine ears on their heads that match their canine counterparts. Canine and feline demis may have patterns on their skin that match the coat their animal counterparts have.Lizard Demis will have eyes that match their lizard counterpart as well as patches of scales on their bodies.
Rodent demihumans will have claws, teeth, ears, and tails that match their animal counterpart. Bird demihumans may have wings, talons, and feathers that match their counterpart and usually can fly.Aquatic demihumans may have scales, gills, and eyes that match their animal counterpart and may breathe underwater. So on and so forth.Demihumans generally have dispositions that match their animal counterpart although not always. Most demis can learn to change between their animal forms and their human forms but it is not something they are born knowing how to do unless they are werewolves. When a demihuman chooses a mate, they mate for a lifetime and will never be disloyal to their mate. When a demihuman imprints, their imprint becomes the object of their obsession and the demihuman lives for that imprint. Imprints are true soulmates.
Werewolves
Werewolves are shapeshifting creatures that can change between a human form and a wolf form. Werewolves either take the full body form of a wolf, or take the form of a true werewolf (humanoid with fur, claws, ears, fangs, etc.)Werewolves are almost always part of a pack. It is rare to find a packless wolf in Lumina City. There are countless smaller packs, but the biggest pack, The Lumina Pack, has three individual Alphas.A female Alpha is called a Luna. Every Alpha has a Beta that answers directly to them and will take care of problems in their stead should the need arise.Werewolves are highly territorial but in Lumina City, have learned to coexist. Sometimes Alphas may butt heads, but most have learned to get along and often work with each other when needed.Werewolves are capable of imprinting.
Werewolves claim their mates by marking/biting their partner. The process of marking can be done wither through sexual intercourse or by biting. If a werewolf is having intercourse with their mate, they will usually bite their partner somewhere on the body during climax. Werewolves can bite to mark their mates without having intercourse but will always bite to mark them when having intercourse. During intercourse, when the werewolf reaches climax, they will bite their partner anywhere that they can reach, whether it be shoulder, neck, their sides, their chest, their breasts, legs, arms, etc. The bites are never lethal and heal quickly with the werewolf's saliva.Werewolves are often volatile and hotheaded but when it comes to their imprints, they are the equivalent of giant puppy dogs that are fiercely protective. Werewolves innately have little care for consequences and will do whatever it takes just to see their imprint smile. Werewolves are very active creatures and will often climax inside of their mates multiple times in one session. Werewolves can have intercourse with their mates multiple times throughout the day and will often seek to have their cocks inside of their partner even if there is no sexual activity being done.
Vampires
Vampires are humanoid creatures, often considered 'undead' that require blood to survive. As history often denotes, vampire groups travel and stick together in clans or families.Male vampires are capable of impregnating and female vampires are capable of conception. It is common for every vampire to have a favorite blood type, but any blood will suffice as long as the vampire is not mated. If feeding from a human, vampires will need to feed again in 2 weeks' time.
If feeding from another vampire, they will need to feed again in 1 weeks' time.If a vampire has an imprint, they will refuse to feed from anybody besides the imprint. Only under dire circumstances will vampires consider going to the local blood bank.Vampires are capable of imprinting.Vampires may be in the sun for several hours at a time before they begin feeling irritation on their skin and experiencing dry throats.
Vampires mark and claim their mates by sinking their fangs into the neck or shoulder. During a claiming, the vampire is not necessarily feeding though blood may be drawn during the process. The mark may be sealed with saliva. Once a partner is marked and claimed, the mark will never fade or disappear.Vampires don't like to admit it, but they are prone to separation anxiety once they have claimed a mate. When it comes to imprints, vampires have double the separation anxiety, constantly wanting to be near their imprint or surrounded by their imprint's scent.
